Communications Specialist
She serves as a Communications Specialist at Women of Color On The Move (WOCOTM), supporting impactful storytelling through newsletters, digital content, and strategic communications that amplify community voices. With a background in Management Data Analytics and enterprise experience at Cummins, she brings a strong blend of data‑driven insight and creative communication to her work.
Passionate about using communication as a tool for empowerment, she focuses on crafting engaging content across email campaigns, blogs, and multimedia platforms while analyzing engagement to continuously strengthen outreach. Motivated by WOCOTM’s mission, she is deeply committed to uplifting women of color, sharing inclusive narratives, and helping build a stronger, more connected community through meaningful storytelling.
Natalia Aparatu
Volunteer Recruiter and Learning& Development
Natalia serves as a Volunteer Recruiter and Learning & Development (L&D) contributor with Women of Color On The Move (WOCOTM). With experience across education, technology, and workforce services, she supports individuals in building digital skills, accessing resources, and achieving personal and professional goals. She is particularly passionate about using technology as a tool for empowerment, especially for individuals facing barriers to opportunity.
Natalia holds a Law Degree from the University of European Studies of Moldova and an HR Essentials Certificate from Cornell University. She has also completed certifications in Project Management, CRM, HR Learning & Development, and AI Essentials, reflecting her commitment to lifelong learning. As a multicultural professional fluent in Romanian and Russian, she is dedicated to creating fair, inclusive, and supportive experiences that help individuals feel confident and empowered to grow.
Kavya Anand
Peer Counselor
Kavya Anand works as a Peer Counselor at Women of Color on the Move. Kavya is a premedical student with a passion for mental health, harm reduction, and stigmatized disease advocacy.
A proud UCLA alumna, she currently works as a Behavior Technician, where she supports elementary students with disabilities and promotes embodiment-centered learning. Her past research explored the neurobiological mechanisms of opioid addiction, with the goal of improving treatment approaches and reducing stigma around substance use.
Beyond research, Kavya has over four years of experience in social advocacy as Vice President of Outreach at Team HBV, a nonprofit dedicated to raising awareness about Hepatitis B in underserved communities. In this role, she created educational workshops, led health fairs, and helped organize Team HBV’s national advocacy conference. Apart from her career interests, she is an avid cat lover, musical creator, and horror movie enthusiast.
Daniel Ameh
Peer counselor
Daniel Ameh is a mechanical engineering student passionate about sustainable energy, innovation, and youth development. He has worked with project teams on peer learning initiatives, engineering solutions, and community engagement programs. With experience in the oil and gas sector and growing expertise in emerging technologies like AI, Daniel is committed to developing inclusive solutions that drive long-term impact. He also supports youth through mentorship and outreach, helping them build confidence, leadership, and academic success.

A Volunteer Recruiter/HR Assistant with Women of Colour On The Move. I am a Business Administration graduate with an MBA and bring over five years of experience across administrative, operations, and coordination roles in the healthcare and logistics sectors. My background has equipped me with strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills, which I apply to manage processes and support team effectiveness. I am deeply interested in people development, community building, and creating inclusive spaces where individuals can thrive.
I am inspired to volunteer because of my passion for empowering women and contributing to initiatives that promote growth, inclusion, and opportunity. I particularly enjoy coordinating activities, supporting team members, and building meaningful professional relationships that enhance collaboration. I am excited to contribute my skills while gaining valuable experience in a structured volunteer environment and making a positive impact within the community.
Abubakar Eyitayo Mustapha
Compliance Specialist Officer (Africa)
Abubakar Eyitayo Mustapha is the Compliance Specialist Officer (Africa) at Women of Color on the Move (WOCOTM). He is a TRCN-certified educator and Certified Data Protection Officer (CDPO) with a growing specialization in governance, risk, and compliance.
Eyitayo has experience in educational program development, community engagement, and regulatory compliance. As an SDG Advocate, he has led initiatives promoting digital literacy for secondary school students and participated in community development projects, reflecting his commitment to sustainable development and social impact.
At WOCOTM, he supports the organization’s compliance efforts by contributing to policy development, regulatory compliance, risk management, and governance initiatives that strengthen accountability across its African operations. His professional interests include data protection, nonprofit governance, compliance systems, and ethical leadership.
Jassime Kapoor
Human Resources Assistant
Jassmine is a Human Resources Assistant with Women of Color on the Move and holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration – Marketing from Sacramento State (2024). She supports the organization’s mission by managing records and assisting candidates through the recruitment process, while also serving as a Marketing and Outreach Coordinator.
With over five years of experience in marketing, customer service, data analysis, sales, and community outreach, Jassmine brings strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills to her work. She is deeply committed to advocacy and community service, having volunteered for five years with My Sister’s House in support of women and families affected by domestic violence. Outside of work, Jassmine is an avid traveler who has visited over 20 countries.
Jenisse Gatz

Jenisse Gatz is a bilingual business professional with over 11 years of experience in global corporate environments, specializing in regulatory compliance, risk management, and operational oversight. Her background spans the telecommunications and financial services sectors, where she has strengthened internal controls, financial transparency, and governance frameworks.
Jenisse holds both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from leading universities in Panama and is fluent in English and Spanish. Now based in North Carolina, she partners with Women of Color On The Move to support equity, education, and empowerment initiatives. She is committed to continuous learning and to building inclusive systems that create lasting community impact.
Monique Nazon
Peer Counselor
Monique Nazon is a Queens‑based social services professional with a B.A. in Psychology and an M.S. in Counseling, specializing in Substance Abuse and eligible for the C.A.S.A.C. Trainee Certificate. She has several years of experience in child protective services, child abuse prevention, and supportive housing programs serving individuals with HIV, mental illness, and substance use disorders. Monique has also worked extensively in education, teaching in early childhood, elementary, special education, gifted, and after‑school programs.
A committed volunteer, she has served as a bilingual French/Creole interpreter, an English tutor for adult immigrants, and an academic tutor for children of immigrant families. She is currently training to become an online recovery host and crisis intervention counselor. Beyond social work, Monique is a poet dedicated to inspiring and motivating communities, and she is an active member of the World Afrikan Diaspora Union (W.A.D.U.). Joyce Pei studies Art and Technology at Pratt Institute in New York, with a focus on interaction design and creative storytelling. She brings skills in graphic design, social media strategy, and digital content creation to support WOCOTM’s mission of empowering women and uplifting communities. Passionate about combining creativity with technology, Joyce has experience designing engaging visuals, building interactive installations and web-based projects, and producing multimedia works that highlight underrepresented stories. She is committed to exploring how design and technology can foster social change, expand representation, and create more inclusive opportunities for all.
Pierre Eric Sumaili

Pierre Eric Kasambula Sumaili is a dedicated human resource professional and Volunteer Vice President of Human Resources department at Women of Color on the Move (WOCOTM), committed to strengthening organizations and empowering communities. He is an experienced HR specialist with over 15 years of experience in human resources management, administration, and public health programs. From Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC); he held MBA in Human Resource Management and Bachelor degree in Management of heath program with many certificates in Human resources management.
Driven by a passion for social impact and institutional development, Eric supports initiatives that enhance workforce performance, build capacity, and promote inclusive systems. He remains committed to advancing sustainable change, guided by his belief that strong institutions and empowered people are essential to development.
